A small blog sharing our earlier life on the east coast of NSW Australia and and current life on the small off grid acreage block that we are preparing to be our permanent retirement home.Along the way I also add a bit of preserving and other things we get up to.i hope that you will call in and share a little bit of time with us. The kettle is always on. Cheers.

About Me

My photo
ozzibeth
Hi ,I am a married 50 something Aussie married for over 40 years to a great bloke with three adult children and five adorable young grandchildren so far.We previously lived on the east coast of NSW and have now retired and have moved out onto our small 25 acre property in the bush. We are totally off grid and hope to be fairly self sufficient in a lot of ways, without going without a few luxuries in life we have become accustomed to. I Love my family, my home, my garden and canning. I also love photography and family history. I also have a massive recipe collection, that i know I will never get around to making half of, but just love collecting them. This blog is just a way for me to write down our life both here and there but mostly our time on the farm..sorta like a diary.I'm just a beginner with this so please be patient with me.I am certainly not an expert in any field nor do I try to be, I only know what I have learnt from others and what works for us in our situation. Please be safe and double check recipes from a second source as I do not accept responsibilty for any issues arising from this. Cheers to all that read about our life, we wish everyone well. Jane
